Did your statement not convert correctly? Download an anonymised layout file and email it to us. It keeps only where text sits on the page: every letter becomes x and every digit becomes 9, so no names, numbers or amounts are included.

Bank of America checking statements group transactions into sections, such as deposits and other additions, and withdrawals and other subtractions, each with a date, a description and an unsigned amount. A plain copy-and-paste loses which section an amount came from. The converter reads the section headings, so deposits come out positive and withdrawals negative.
The account summary at the top shows the beginning and ending balance. The converter adds up every row and compares the result with the ending balance, so you know straight away whether anything was missed.
How to get the PDF and convert it
- Sign in to Bank of America online banking on a computer (the website is usually easier than the app for saving files).
- Open the account and go to Statements & Documents.
- Choose the statement period and download the PDF.
- Drop it into the converter above and pick the export format you need.
What the converter checks
- Amounts in withdrawal and fee sections are made negative.
- The total of all rows is checked against the beginning and ending balance.
- Check numbers stay in the description so you can match them later.
FAQ
Why are some amounts marked "sign inferred"?
When a statement prints amounts without a sign and the section is not clear, the converter picks the sign that makes the balances add up and marks the row so you can check it.
Does it work for Bank of America credit cards?
Yes, text-based credit card statements work the same way: transactions are read from the activity table and checked against the previous and new balance.
