Convert a Wells Fargo statement PDF to Excel or CSV
Wells Fargo statements put deposits and withdrawals in separate columns and print a balance only at the end of each day. The converter handles both.
| # | Date | Description | Amount | Balance | Check |

Did your statement not convert correctly? Download an anonymised layout file and email it to us. It keeps only where text sits on the page: every letter becomes x and every digit becomes 9, so no names, numbers or amounts are included.

A typical Wells Fargo checking statement has a transaction history table with the date, check number, description, deposits or additions, withdrawals or subtractions, and an ending daily balance. Because the balance appears only on the last transaction of each day, the converter checks each day as a block: all rows of the day must add up to that day's ending balance.
Column headings on these statements often wrap over two lines, such as "Ending daily" above "balance". The converter joins stacked headings before reading the columns.
How to get the PDF and convert it
- Sign in to Wells Fargo online banking on a computer (the website is usually easier than the app for saving files).
- Open the account and look for Statements and Documents.
- Select the statement month and download the PDF.
- Drop the file into the converter above.
What the converter checks
- Deposits come out positive and withdrawals negative.
- Days with several transactions are checked against the ending daily balance.
- Check numbers stay in the description.
FAQ
Some rows show no balance. Is that a problem?
No. Wells Fargo prints the balance once per day, so the other rows of that day are checked together with the last one.
Can I import the result into QuickBooks?
Yes. Choose the QuickBooks Online (3-column) format before downloading.
